Now we are ready for blusher. For
most T-Girls a dark natural color works best. I use a dark earth tones which
complements my wigs which are all reddish in tone. Generally dark earth tones
work the best.
Blusher normally comes in a pressed
powder form but is also available in a grease type form. Powder is much easier
to apply for most people.
Now although
foundation is important its not much fun - this is where you can start having
fun with your makeups and create your own look.

| APPLICATION |
The
first part of applying the blusher is to your temples. You need a few strokes
from the back of the temple towards the front of the face upto the hairline and
as low as the eybrow- stopping where the eyebrow starts. This is to make the face appear thinner. You need light
even strokes and DON'T load the brush with too much blusher at any one
time. Like your concealer the
blusher needs to be applied quite subtly and should blend at the edges to your
foundation color. Work slowly at first to build the colour
up.
The second part of your blush application is just under
your cheekbone. Roughly a line from the top of your ear to the side of your
mouth - the color should be heaviest near the ear and lightest - almost
invisible -at the edge of the mouth. Build the color up slowly using even
strokes and brushing from the ear towards the mouth. The effect you should be
aiming for is (just as the name suggests) a light blush like you would get when
embarrassed.
Its really important
not to go overboard on blusher as too much will ruin the finished effect. Its
easy to get carried away here, as the face with just foundation on will look
very lack-lustre. Be patient
because you wont see the full effect until the make-up is complete. If the
blusher looks too obvious at tis stage you have too much on. You'll learn from
experience that all make-up with the excsption of the eyes needs to be
subtle.
Now I usually apply a very small amount of blusher to
the sides of my nose and also just under my jawline which has the effect of
defining the jaw and also making my nose look thinner.
If you
are wearing a low cut top you should apply a small amount of blusher under your
collar bones and also central to your chest along the sternum which will help
'fake' a small amount of cleavage.
We are now ready for
the eyes - the doorway to the soul........... |
