Melanie was in London recently to do a bit of shopping and to show Wild Magnolia an American drag queen around. I had heard of Libidex from a girl friend only a few days before and was amazed that there was a supplier I didn't know about who made great latex gear. So Wild Magnolia and I I took some time out to go see Libidex and to see if they had anything that would appeal. OK the first thing that amazed me with Libidex was its the first time I have been in a London cab and gotten lost. Libidex are a mite hard to find and very disguised next to a Halal butchers ! So the moral of the story here is if your going to pay a visit make sure you know where your going...... still it was fun watching a London cabbie get all flustered ! Anyway after having found the store Wild Magnolia and myself rang the bell and were invited in by Simon the owner and Merkiades (Mercy for short) his erstwhile assistant. Now although the shop is quite small the amount of outfits available off the shelf is quite amazing. Libidex make most stuff to order so don't keep a huge amount of shelf stock but what they had was certainly impressive stuff. Wild Magnolia grabbed a latex T-Shirt style top and fell in love with it. It wasn't quite right in the sleeves but Simon thought he could fix it for her on the spot and took the garment off for a bit of re-work.

Meanwhile I had seen a lovely hobble skirt and decided to have one made to order to fit me just right. Mercy quickly measured me up and took my order. Simon advised having some mods made to it to make it more practical ( in essence widening the base of the skirt so you can actually walk in it ) but I decided to override his advice and buy it just for modelling in. While Simon was having Wild Magnolias top modified Mercy gave me a quick tour of Libidex which comprises the small shop front and a large workshop at the rear where all of Libidex's outfits are made up by two smiling workers who were obviously used to strange people wandering around. Mercy and I had a good old chat about fetish clubs and so forth over a hot cup of tea ( which was very welcome as Wild Magnolia and I had been shopping for about 6 hours ) and then it was time for Wild Magnolia to try the T-shirt on. After Simons modifications it was perfect and Simon made no charge for the modifications which was really good of him.     I also fell in love with a delicious day-glo pink skating skirt but was badly overspent so had to let that one go though Simon promised to keep it by for me which again was great service. Simon and Mercy were really cool people who obviously enjoy running the business and were happy to chat and advise about their range of outfits which were quite wonderful. The skirt arrived in the post a few weeks later. I am sure Libidex could make up quicker if you ask but I had told Simon there was no rush for the skirt. The quality of the finished skirt is wonderful, very heavy yet flexible latex with a two way zip so you can get in easily and have as big a split as you like in the skirt for walking in. Mercy, Mel and Simon Its a fabulous article and one of my favorites as it can be work with the zip to the front, sides or back and can be worn with other fetish gear or just a normal blouse or shift top. While we were in the shop there were other visitors dropping in for custom made catsuits and such like and it was interesting to hear their comments about the quality of the goods at Libidex. every visitor was mightily impressed with what was on display and of course Libidex will make any modifications you choose and the staff will help with advise about what sort of stuff will work and what wont. Simon explained that with some items such as catsuits a made to measure is essential to get it fitted just right.   Heres the skirt unzipped quite high. Does my bum look big in this ?' I hope so Fully zipped - impossible to walk in !   Libidex aren't the cheapest latex supplier but I guarantee the quality of their outfits is the best you will ever see. Wild Magnolias has a massive latex wardrobe and commented in the taxi on the way back that the products we had seen were amongst the very best she has ever come across both in the US and Europe. I never have a problem with paying a bit more for the best and Simon and Mercy were such great people as well, very helpful and willing to do just a bit more than a lot of other stores. So girls there you are - great people to deal with, custom made latex that will fit perfect and thats hard to find for us t girls. Oh how much ?I hear you ask. Well the skirt shown custom made was £95 which I personally think was great value.
